The Re shoot: Day 1

After hearing my teacher's feedback, I took on the challenge to re shoot the scenes all by myself. Since my mother was sick at the moment, we all had mixed up ideas and the limited time, left me to do the re shoots by myself since I had a clear plan and had already discussed it with my teacher. 

Day 1 of the re shoot:

I scheduled the whole shoot by myself and assigned a time for Arousha to come for the shoot. Firstly, I removed the ghost scenes, instead I wanted something more symbolic such as a shadow of the ghost or something like a silhouette. I directed the scene and did the camera work. I chose the light and its angles and asked my older sister to help me.

Extra: my younger sister, Bushra, was an extra. She wore all black clothes and covered her face with a black cloth to create a silhouette that would come out of the closet as soon as the main character's doll's face comes off. 

I also changed the narrative so that there could be more emphasis on the doll and the closet, such as while shooting the opening scenes, i shot the close up of the doll with her head off hence I wanted the demon or the spirit to have some connection with the doll. 

Furthermore, I enc operated the use of red lights. After doing research on lights and their colours,I decided on the red light angled towards the closet. 

Moreover, I changed the sequence of the vlogs that Arousha was making in the film, I shot some additional scenes such as her mentioning the emergency lights, this kept the continuity in the film.

In addition to this, I added filler scenes such as her writing "Vlog 1 and Vlog 2" indicating that there were more than two vlogs and when one vlog ended. 

I had to end the shoot due to Arousha's curfew hence Reshoot Day 1 ended successfully.
