Preliminary Task: Idea and Narrative Constrution
Our First Debut Short Film:
Given the starter script "Two girls found a map," each of us was assigned the creative challenge of crafting a unique continuation and conclusion to the story. This task not only encouraged individual storytelling but also showcased the diverse narratives that emerged from a shared starting point.
Creating our debut short film was an exhilarating experience, guided by the camera angles our teacher imparted. We received commendation for effectively incorporating the Crab shot and POV shot, highlighting our understanding of visual storytelling. While our film showcased promise, it served as a valuable learning experience, revealing areas for improvement. The process was uplifting, and the constructive feedback fueled our enthusiasm for honing our filmmaking skills. After viewing the other projects, we were able to also present our criticisms and hence this proved to be a learning experience for us all as a class.
